ਕੈਦੀ ਦੀ ਦੁਵਿਧਾ (Prisoner's dilemma) ਖੇਲ ਸਿੱਧਾਂਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਪਰਿਸਥਿਤੀ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਉਦਾਹਰਨ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਇਹ ਦੱਸਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਲੋਕ ਇੱਕ-ਦੂਜੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਬੇਭਰੋਸਗੀ ਹੋਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਕਦੇ-ਕਦੇ ਆਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਦੋਂ ਵੀ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਦੋਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਪਸ਼ਟ ਫ਼ਾਇਦਾ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਅਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਦੋਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਪਸ਼ਟ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੋਵੇ।^[1]
