ਮੱਧ-1940ਵਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸਦੀਆਂ ਕਵਿਤਾਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਿਤ ਹੋਈ ਅਤੇ 1950ਵਿਆਂ ਤੱਕ ਇਹ ਸੋਵੀਅਤ ਆਰਮੇਨੀਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਸਕਸ਼ੀਅਤ ਵਜੋਂ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਆਰਮੇਨੀਆਈ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਇਸਨੇ [[ਰੂਸੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ]] ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਰਚਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਦੀਆਂ ਕਈ ਰਚਨਾਵਾਂ ਹੋਰ ਭਾਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਨੁਵਾਦ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਸੋਵੀਅਤ ਕਾਲ ਦੇ ਅੰਤਲੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸਨੇ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਮਸਲੇ ਉਠਾਉਣੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਸਨ।<div class="reflist" style="list-style-type: lower-alpha;">
