ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕੁਛ ਅਰਸਾ ਦਰਜ਼ੀ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਵੀ ਕੀਤਾ। ਹੰਗਲ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਦੀ ਜੱਦੋ ਜਹਿਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਰਤਾਨਵੀ ਸਾਮਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਫ਼ਾਲ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ। ਪਿਤਾ ਦੀ ਰੀਟਾਇਰਮੈਂਟ ਦੇ ਬਾਦ, ਉਸਦਾ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਪਿਸ਼ਾਵਰ ਤੋਂ ਕਰਾਚੀ ਮੁੰਤਕਿਲ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
