ਭਾਵੇਂ '''ਤਕਨੀਕੀਰਾਜ''' ਦਾ ਸਿਧਾਂਤ ਬਹੁਤਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਹੀ ਸੀਮਤ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਕੁਝ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਕਨੀਕੀਰਾਜ ਗਿਣਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੇਕਰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਫ਼ੈਸਲੇ ਲੈਣ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਕਨੀਕੀ ਮਾਹਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਹਿਮ ਰੋਲ ਹੋਵੇ। ''ਤਕਨੀਕੀ ਮਾਹਰ'' ਦਾ ਮਤਲਬ ਹੁਣ 'ਤਾਕਤਵਰ ਉੱਚ-ਤਕਨੀਕੀ ਵਰਗ ਦਾ ਮੈਂਬਰ' ਜਾਂ 'ਤਕਨੀਕੀ ਮਾਹਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਰਦਾਰੀ ਦਾ ਹਿਮਾਇਤੀ' ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।<ref>[http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/explainer/2011/11/technocrats_and_the_european_debt_crisis_what_s_a_technocrat_.html What’s a Technocrat?
