New member. This place needs a lot of work, including my own personal userpage! More to come...

Punjabi is not my native language, but I hope to contribute to the Wiki as best I can. Please proofread any articles I may write. I often use proper grammar, but the style is "off". I need to do some more reading!

I have made some videos about Punjabi, which you can see [http://www.youtube.com/ihaveacomputer here].

==Ideas for the Development of the Punjabi Wiki==
*I believe the creation of a style guide to be one of the Wiki's most pressing issues. Indeed, this platform allows for us to be trailblazers in setting a concrete standard which, if enthusiastically adopted and employed, has the potential to affect the language used by Punjabi writers worldwide. Some items to be addressed include:
**The use of ਅੱਧਕ in words like ਵਿੱਚ, ਕੁੱਝ, etc.
**The use of ਲ਼ and the bindi in general (which I personally believe should be fully employed so as to reduce the distance between Shahmukhi and Gurmukhi)
**The use of "|" and its proper formatting at the end of a sentence... Pad with spaces, or follow the format of the period?
*Profiles of the various Punjabi dialects would be wonderful, given little such material actually exists. Wikipedia is not the place for original research, but we should gather whatever we can to paint a distinct picture of each. Comparison can be made simple by using a standard format.
*Vocabulary choice. Should the highly Sanskritized Indian register be employed, or should we try and use as much Perso-Arabic vocabulary as possible? How do we make our mark on a trend which seems to be ripping the language in two?
