ਛਪਾਈ
ਛਪਾਈ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਲਿਖਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਤਸਵੀਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਬਾਰਾ ਉਤਪੰਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਲੱਕੜ ਦੇ ਠੱਪਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਚੀਨ ਵਿੱਚ 220 ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਛਪਾਈ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਆ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।[1] ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੀਨ ਦੇ ਬੀ ਸ਼ੰਗ ਨੇ ਹਿਲਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਛਪਾਈ ਦੀ ਕਾਢ ਕੀਤੀ।[2] ਜੋਹਾਨਸ ਗੂਤਨਬਰਗ ਨੇ 15ਵੀਂ ਸਦੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੱਛਮੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਛਪਾਈ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਟਿੰਗ ਪ੍ਰੈੱਸ ਬਣਾਈ।[3]
