2016 ਗੁਲਸ਼ਨ ਹਮਲਾ 1 ਜੁਲਾਈ 2016 ਨੂੰ ਮਕਾਮੀ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਰਾਤ 9: 20 ਵਜੇ ਬੰਗਲਾਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਧਾਨੀ ਢਾਕਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਨੌਂ ਹਮਲਾਵਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਢਾਕੇ ਦੇ ਸਫ਼ਾਰਤੀ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਥਿਤ ਹੋਲੀ ਆਰਟੀਸਨ ਬੇਕਰੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਆਤੰਕੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਬੰਬ ਵੀ ਸੁੱਟੋ ਅਤੇ ਕਈ ਦਰਜਨ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਦੀ ਵੀ ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਮੁੱਠਭੇੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੋ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ।[1] ਹਮਲੇ ਦੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕਥਿਤ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਅੱਲਾ ਹੂ ਅਕਬਰ ! ਨਾਰੇ ਲਗਾਏ ਗਏ।[2][3] 20 ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਅਤੇ 6 ਬੰਦੂਕਧਾਰੀ ਹਮਲੇ ਦੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਮਾਰੇ ਗਏ।[4] ਬੰਦੂਕਧਾਰੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਨੂੰ ਫੜ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ 13 ਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਗਲਾਦੇਸ਼ ਫੌਜ ਨੇ ਛੁੜਵਾ ਲਿਆ।[5]
