ਬੁਏਨਸ ਆਇਰਸ ਜਾਂ ਬਿਊਨਸ ਆਇਰਸ, ਅਰਜਨਟੀਨਾ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਧਾਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਅਤੇ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਸਾਓ ਪਾਲੋ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਦੱਖਣੀ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਦਾ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਮਹਾਂਨਗਰੀ ਖੇਤਰ ਹੈ।[5] ਇਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੱਖਣੀ ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਮਹਾਂਦੀਪ ਦੇ ਦੱਖਣ-ਪੂਰਬੀ ਤਟ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਲਾਤਾ ਨਦੀ ਦੇ ਜਵਾਰ ਦਹਾਨੇ ਦੇ ਪੱਛਮੀ ਕੰਢੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਥਿਤ ਹੈ। ਵਧੇਰਾ ਬੁਏਨਸ ਆਇਰਸ ਮੁੱਖ-ਨਗਰੀ ਇਲਾਕਾ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੁਏਨਸ ਆਇਰਸ ਸੂਬੇ ਦੇ ਕਈ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ, ਲਾਤੀਨੀ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਦਾ ਤੀਜਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਮੁੱਖ-ਨਗਰੀ ਇਲਾਕਾ ਹੈ।[3]
