ਰੋਬੇਰਟਾ ਪਰਕਿਨਜ਼

ਰੋਬੇਰਟਾ ਪਰਕਿਨਜ਼ (1949 – 26 ਜੂਨ 2018) ਇਕ ਅਸਟਰੇਲੀਆਈ ਸਮਾਜ ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰੀ, ਲੇਖਕ ਅਤੇ ਟਰਾਂਸਜੈਂਡਰ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਮ-ਕਰਮੀ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਕਾਰਕੁੰਨ ਸੀ। ਉਸਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਅਕਾਦਮੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਟਰਾਂਸਜੈਂਡਰ ਕਾਮ-ਕਰਮੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਅਰਧ-ਵਿਹਾਰਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਅਧਾਰਿਤ ਲੇਖ ਲਿਖੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਆਸਟਰੇਲੀਆ ਵਿਚ ਟਰਾਂਸਜੈਂਡਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਜੀਵਨੀ

1981 ਵਿਚ ਉਸਨੇ ਸਿਡਨੀ ਦੀ ਮੈਕੂਏਰੀਆ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਤੋਂ ਬੀ.ਏ. ਆਨਰਜ਼ ਖੋਜ-ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਪੂਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਸਦਾ ਖੋਜ-ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਡਰੈਗ-ਕੂਈਨ ਅਤੇ ਟਰਾਂਸਸੈਕਸੁਅਲ ਦੇ ਤਜੁਰਬੇ ਅਤੇ ਜੀਵਨ 'ਤੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਸਰਵੇ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਸਟਰੇਲੀਆ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਓਪਨਲੀ ਟਰਾਂਸਜੈਂਡਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਖੋਜ ਕਾਰਜ ਸੀ।

1980ਵੇਂ ਦਹਾਕੇ 'ਚ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਨਵੀਂ ਬਣੀ ਅਸਟਰੇਲੀਆਈ ਟਰਾਂਸਸੈਕਸੁਅਲ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਦੀ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਸੀ, ਜੋ ਲਾਬਿੰਗ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਸੁਧਾਰ ਲਈ ਟਰਾਂਸ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਕਰਦੀ ਸੀ।
