ਨਾਰਕੋਟਿਕਸ ਅਨੌਨੀਮਸ ( NA )1953 ਵਿੱਚ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਹੋਈ, ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ "ਗੈਰ-ਮੁਨਾਫ਼ਾ ਫੈਲੋਸ਼ਿਪ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਐਸੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਰਣਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੀ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ ਬਣ ਗਏ ਸਨ ।" [1] Narcotics Anonymous ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਵਿਗਾੜਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਵਿਕਸਤ ਕੀਤੇ 12-ਪੜਾਅ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਾਡਲ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ [2] ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਦੂਜੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੀ 12-ਕਦਮ ਵਾਲੀ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਹੈ। [3]
