ਨੈਨਸੀ ਕੇ. ਮਿਲਰ
ਨੈਨਸੀ ਕ. ਮਿਲਰ (ਜਨਮ 1941) ਇੱਕ ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਵਿਦਵਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਰੀਵਾਦੀ ਸਾਸ਼ਤਰੀ ਹੈ।

ਵਰਤਮਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਕੂਨੀ ਗ੍ਰੈਜੁਏਟ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਵਿੱਖਰ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਲਨਾਤਮਕ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ ਹੈ, ਮਿਲਰ ਨਾਰੀਵਾਦੀ ਆਲੋਚਨਾ, ਔਰਤਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਲਿਖਤਾਂ, ਜੀਵਨੀ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਕਈ ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਦੀ ਲੇਖਿਕਾ ਹੈ।[1]
1981 ਵਿੱਚ, ਮਿਲਰ ਬਰਨਾਰਡ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੁਮੈਨਸ ਸਟੱਡੀਜ਼ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਫੁੱਲ ਟਾਈਮ ਮਿਆਦੀ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਬਣੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਨਿਯੁਕਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ, ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ 1988 ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ.ਯੂ.ਐਨ.ਵਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਯੁਕਤੀ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸਹੁੰ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਸੀ।[2] ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕੋਲੰਬੀਆ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਫ਼ਰਾਂਸੀਸੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਇਆ।[3]
ਮਿਲਰ ਨੇ 1983 ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾਰੀਵਾਦੀ ਵਿਦਵਾਨ ਕਾਰਲਿਨ ਹੈਲਬਰਨ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਕੋਲੰਬੀਆ ਯੁਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਪ੍ਰੈੱਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਲੜੀ ਦੀ ਸਥਾਪਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਲੜੀ ਦੇ ਸਹਿ-ਸੰਪਾਦਨ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੱਖੀ।[4] 2004 ਅਤੇ 2007 ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ, ਉਹ ਅਤੇ ਭੂਗੋਲਕਾਰ ਕਿੰਡੀ ਕੈਟਜ਼ ਨੇ ਜਰਨਲ ਵੁਮੈਨਸ ਸਟੱਡੀਜ਼ ਕੁਆਂਟਰੇਲ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਪਾਦਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਲੀਡਰਸ਼ਿਪ ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਸਿੱਖਿਅਕ ਜਰਨਲਸ ਦੇ ਸੰਪਾਦਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੌਂਸਲ ਤੋਂ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਸੰਪਾਦਕੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਲਈ ਫੋਨਿਕਸ ਅਵਾਰਡ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਸੀ।[5]
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਬੀ.ਏ ਦੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਬਾਰਨਰਡ ਕਾਲਜ ਤੋਂ ਪੂਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਐਮ.ਏ. ਮਿਡਲਬਰੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਤੋਂ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋਈ। ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪੀਐਚ.ਡੀ. ਫ਼ਰਾਂਸੀਸੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਲੰਬੀਆ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਤੋਂ ਮੁੰਕਮਲ ਹੋਈ।
