ਨੰਗੇਲੀ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਤ੍ਰਵਣਕੋਰ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਰਿਆਸਤੀ ਰਾਜ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਔਰਤ ਬਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਗਾਥਾ ਜੋ 19 ਵੀਂ ਸਦੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੇਰਥਲਾ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ ।ਇਸ ਗਾਥਾ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਇਸ ਖੇਤਰ ਦੇ ਦਲਿਤ ਅਤੇ ਆਦਿ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਤਨ ਟੈਕਸ ਦੇਣਾ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਨੰਗੇਲੀ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਇਸ ਔਰਤ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਥਾ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਤਨ ਕੱਟ ਕੇ ਟੈਕਸ ਲੈਣ ਆਏ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰਥਾ ਬੰਦ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਸੀ । [1] [2][3]
