Optional parameters

• attention – set |attention=yes if the page needs immediate attention.
  • This parameter populates ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀ:Astronomy articles needing attention.
• class – valid values are listed in the custom class mask. See the project's quality scale for details.
• constellations – set |constellations=yes if the article is supported by Constellations Task Force.
  • This parameter populates the relevant subcategory of ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀ:Constellations articles by quality based upon the |class= parameter.
• cosmology – set |cosmology=yes if the article is supported by Cosmology Task Force.
  • This parameter populates the relevant subcategory of ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀ:Cosmology articles by quality based upon the |class= parameter.
• importance – valid values are listed in the custom importance mask. See the project's importance scale for details.
• infobox – set |infobox=yes if the page needs an infobox.
  • This parameter populates ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀ:Astronomy articles needing infoboxes.
• listas – This parameter, which is the equivalent of the DEFAULTSORT sortkey that should be placed on all biographical articles, is a sortkey for the article talk page (e.g. for Isaac Newton, use |listas=Newton, Isaac so that the talk page will show up in the ਫਰਮਾ:STR INDEX/LOGIC's and not the ਫਰਮਾ:Str index/logic's of the various assessment and administrative categories). This is important because it is one source used by those who set DEFAULTSORT on the article; consider also setting the DEFAULTSORT for the article when setting this parameter. For more information about this, please see Wikipedia:Categorization of people#Ordering names in a category.
  It is not required if another WikiProject template on the same page has its own |listas= set, since it not only affects categories used by the banner in which it is set, but it also affects the sortkey of all other banners and templates.
• needs-image – set |needs-image=yes if an appropriate image needs to be added to the page, or the current one needs to be updated.
  • This parameter populates ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀ:Astronomy articles needing images.
• object – set |object=yes if the article is supported by WikiProject Astronomical objects.
  • This parameter populates ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀ:Pages within the scope of WikiProject Astronomical objects (WP Astronomy Banner), and the relevant subcategory of ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀ:Astronomical objects articles by quality based upon the |class= parameter.
• small – set |small=yes to display a small version of the template aligned along the right side of the page (as opposed to at the top). This parameter does not work as expected if the banner template is enclosed in {{WikiProject banner shell}} or any of its redirects.
• category – set |category=no if, and only if, a banner is being used for demonstration or testing purposes, to prevent unnecessary or undesirable categorization. Otherwise, omit this parameter.

Remove the |auto=yes parameter from within {{WikiProject Astronomy}}, such that the rating reads {{WikiProject Astronomy|class=Stub}}.
