ਮੈਥਿਊ ਨੇ ਸਤੰਬਰ 2014 ਵਿੱਚ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਗੇਅ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਹਿੰਮਤ ਦਾ ਸਿਹਰਾ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।[5] ਉਹ ਰੁਪੌਲ ਅਤੇ ਬੀਆਂਕਾ ਡੇਲ ਰੀਓ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਸੀ।[2] ਉਸਨੇ ਡਰੈਗ ਕਲਾ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਪਛਾਣ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਧਾਇਆ ਹੈ, ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਈ ਥਾਵਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਕਈ ਟੇੱਡਐਕਸ 'ਤੇ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।[1] ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦ ਬਿਡਾਪਾ ਨੇ 2017 ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ [3] ਇੱਕ ਕਾਰਕੁਨ ਵਜੋਂ, ਮੈਥਿਊ ਲਿੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਰੀਵਾਦ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਦਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।[5][6] ਉਸਨੇ ਲਾਈਵ ਇਵੈਂਟਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਛਾਇਆ ਵਿਦ ਮਾਇਆ ਨਾਲ ਟਾਕ ਸ਼ੋਅ ਦੀ ਮੇਜ਼ਬਾਨੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਾਇਆ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਦਾ ਸਿਹਰਾ ਕੇਸ਼ਵ ਸੂਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।[7]
