ਸੋਫ਼ੀ ਅਕਸਾਨਨ ਅੰਗ੍ਰੇਜੀ:Sofi Oksanen [1](ਜਨਮ ਜਨਵਰੀ 7, 1977) ਇੱਕ ਫਿੰਨਿਸ਼ ਸਮਕਾਲੀ ਲੇਖਿਕਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਜੈਵਸਕੈਲਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਹੋਇਆ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਫਿੰਨਿਸ਼ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮਾਤਾ ਇਸਤੋਨੀਅਨ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਕੰਮ ਲਈ ਕਈ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਘਰੇਲੂ ਪੁਰਸਕਾਰ ਮਿਲ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਦਾ 40 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਭਾਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਨੁਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ[2] ਅਤੇ 20 ਲੱਖ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਕਾਪੀਆਂ ਵੇਚੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਓਕਸਨੇਨ ਨੂੰ "ਫਿਨਿਸ਼-ਐਸਟੋਨੀਅਨ ਚਾਰਲਸ ਡਿਕਨਜ਼" ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਦੀ ਤੁਲਨਾ ਅਕਸਰ ਮਾਰਗਰੇਟ ਐਟਵੁੱਡ ਦੇ ਨਾਵਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।[3] ਓਕਸਨੇਨ ਫਿਨਲੈਂਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਨਤਕ ਬਹਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰਗਰਮੀ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕਾਲਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਟਾਕ ਸ਼ੋਅ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਮੁੱਦਿਆਂ 'ਤੇ ਟਿੱਪਣੀਆਂ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ।

ਸੋਫੀ-ਏਲੀਨਾ ਓਕਸੇਨੇਨ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਫਿਨਲੈਂਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਯਵਾਸਕਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਹ ਹਾਲਸੀਲਾ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਡੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਇੱਕ ਫਿਨਿਸ਼ ਇਲੈਕਟ੍ਰੀਸ਼ੀਅਨ ਹਨ। ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮਾਂ ਇੱਕ ਇਸਟੋਨੀਅਨ ਇੰਜੀਨੀਅਰ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸੋਵੀਅਤ ਕਬਜ਼ੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਐਸਟੋਨੀਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਡੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਆਹ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ 1970 ਵਿੱਚ ਫਿਨਲੈਂਡ ਜਾਣ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਓਕਸਨੇਨ ਨੇ ਜਾਯਵਸਕੀਲਾ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਅਤੇ ਹੇਲਸਿੰਕੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਦਾ ਅਧਿਐਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੇਲਸਿੰਕੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਫਿਨਿਸ਼ ਥੀਏਟਰ ਅਕੈਡਮੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾਟਕ ਦਾ ਅਧਿਐਨ ਕੀਤਾ।
