ਕਦਰੂ

ਹਿੰਦੂ ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਮਹਾਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਆਦਿ ਪਰਵ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਕਦਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਆਮ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਦਕਸ਼ ਦੀ ਧੀ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਕਸ਼ਪ ਨੇ ਕਦਰੂ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਆਹ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਦਕਸ਼ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਾਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਧੀਆਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਸੀ। ਕਸ਼ਪ ਮਾਰਿਚੀ, ਜੋ ਮਾਨਸਪੁੱਤਰ ਜਾਂ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਦਾ ਰੂਹਾਨੀ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ। ਕਦਰੂ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਗਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਾਂ ਸੀ।
