[[ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ|ਪੰਜਾਬੀ]] ਬੋਲਣ ਵਾਲ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਤਕਰੀਬਨ 12 ਕਰੋੜ ਐ। ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਜੱਗ ਦੀ ਆਬਾਦੀ ਦਾ ਦੋ ਫ਼ੀਸਦ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਬਣਦੇ ਨੇ। ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੀ ਆਬਾਦੀ [[ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ]] ਦੇ ਸੂਬਾ [[ਪੰਜਾਬ (ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ)|ਪੰਜਾਬ]] ’ਚ ਐ ’ਤੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੀ ਆਬਾਦੀ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਨੇ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ [[ਹਿੰਦੁਸਤਾਨ]] ਦੇ ਸੂਬੇ [[ਪੰਜਾਬ (ਭਾਰਤ)|ਪੰਜਾਬ]] ਵਿਚ ਵੀ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਏ। [[ਬਰਤਾਨੀਆ|ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ]] ’ਚ [[ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ|ਪੰਜਾਬੀ]] ਦੂਜੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਜ਼ਬਾਨ ਏ।
