ਹੱਸਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਘੁੱਗੀ ( ਸਪੀਲੋਪੇਲੀਆ ਸੇਨੇਗਲੈਂਸਿਸ ) ਇੱਕ ਛੋਟਾ ਕਬੂਤਰ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਅਫਰੀਕਾ, ਮੱਧ ਪੂਰਬ, ਦੱਖਣੀ ਏਸ਼ੀਆ ਅਤੇ ਪੱਛਮੀ ਆਸਟ੍ਰੇਲੀਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਨਿਵਾਸੀ ਪ੍ਰਜਨਕ ਹੈ। ਆਸਟਰੇਲੀਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਇਸਨੇ ਪਰਥ ਅਤੇ ਫਰੀਮੇਂਟਲ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਛੋਟੀ ਲੰਬੀ ਪੂਛ ਵਾਲੀ ਘੁੱਗੀ ਸੁੱਕੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਰਧ-ਮਾਰੂਥਲ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਜੋੜੇ ਅਕਸਰ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ 'ਤੇ ਭੋਜਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਦੇਖੇ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ। ਭੂਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਲਾ ਚੈਕ ਵਾਲਾ ਹਾਰ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਲੱਖਣ ਪੈਟਰਨ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਦੀ ਕਾਲ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਹੋਰ ਘੁੱਗੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਆਸਾਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਖ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੋਰ ਨਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੱਸਦੀ ਕੱਛੂ ਘੁੱਗੀ, ਪਾਮ ਘੁੱਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੇਨੇਗਲ ਘੁੱਗੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਏਸ਼ੀਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਛੋਟੀ ਭੂਰੀ ਘੁੱਗੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਅਕਸਰ ਵਰਤਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
