ਰੈੱਡਕਲਿਫ ਲਾਈਨ

ਰੈੱਡਕਲਿਫ ਲਾਈਨ 17 ਅਗਸਤ 1947 ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਭਾਰਤ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਸੀਮਾ ਬਣ ਗਈ। ਸਰ ਸੈਰਿਲ ਰੈੱਡਕਲਿਫ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਗੀ ਹੇਠ ਗਠਨ ਹੱਦਬੰਦੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ 175,000 ਵਰਗ ਮੀਲ {450,000 ਵਰਗ ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ} ਦੇ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਅਤੇ 8.8 ਕਰੋੜ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੰਡਦੀ ਹੋਈ ਇਸ ਰੇਖਾ ਨਿਰਧਾਰਿਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ।^[1]
