ਅਲਕਾ ਤੋਮਰ ਇਕ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਪਹਿਲਵਾਨ ਹੈ। [5] ਜੱਬਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕੋਚਿੰਗ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ [6] ਉਹ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਕੁਸ਼ਤੀ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨ ਬਣੀ ਅਤੇ 2006 ਵਿੱਚ ਦੋਹਾ ਏਸ਼ੀਅਨ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੁਸ਼ਤੀ (59 ਕਿਲੋ ਫ੍ਰੀਸਟਾਈਲ) ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਂਸੀ ਦਾ ਤਗਮਾ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕੀਤਾ। [7] ਅਲਕਾ ਤੋਮਰ ਨੂੰ ਚੀਨ ਦੇ ਗੁਆਂਗਜ਼ੂ ਵਿਖੇ 2006 ਵਿਚ ਹੋਈ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਕੁਸ਼ਤੀ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪ ਵਿਚ ਵੀ ਕਾਂਸੀ ਦਾ ਤਗਮਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਸੀ।[8]

ਉਸਨੇ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਮੰਡਲ ਖੇਡਾਂ 2010 ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਗੋਲਡ ਮੈਡਲ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ, ਜਿਥੇ ਉਸਨੇ ਕਨੇਡਾ ਦੀ ਟੋਨਿਆ ਵਰਬੀਕ ਨਾਲ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। [9]
ਮੁੱਢਲਾ ਜੀਵਨ
ਸੋਧੋਅਲਕਾ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਨੈਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੋਮਰ ਅਤੇ ਮੁੰਨੀ ਦੇਵੀ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ।[10]
