ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ '''ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਦਿਵਸ''' ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਕੁੱਝ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਦੀ ਛੁੱਟੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਕੁੱਝ ਦੇਸ਼ ਇਸ ਦਿਨ ਨੂੰ ਕੰਮ-ਕਾਜ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਮਨਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
