But according to rules of Punjabi it should be ਪਾਲੀ . That is why all Punjabi Linguists have used ਪਾਲੀ. In Punjabi ਿ rarely comes before the last alphabet such as in ਆਦਿ. I agree with Satdeep but not just relying on the dictionary link he provided. I even titled the article as ਪਾਲੀ but it was changed to ਪਾਲਿ by Rajendra only following other wiki style to spell it without any reliable sources. More wanna say on it that often, Hindi and Sanskrit words with a "sihaari" are transliterated in Punjabi using "bihaari" for e.g. मुक्ति is transliterated as ਮੁਕਤੀ. Yeah, I want to say so but at that time I didn't remember those words. Anyway, it's very clear that many Hindi-Sanskrit word with a sihaari often transliterated using bihaari in other languages and even pronunced using 'bihaari' in Hindi and Sanskrit. Using sihaari in Punjabi makes it pronunced ਪਾਲ or ਪਾਲੇ actually an in-between-pronunciation of the two. I support it to be titled as ਪਾਲੀ.
