The purpose of this template is to put disambiguation links at the top of year articles, such as 2024. It explains that the article is about the year and links to the number and a disambiguation page, if they exist. It also, currently, has space for up to three other disambiguations, such as car models, aircraft, etc.

Its first parameter is always the year in question, so if it is used on the year article 2024, you write

It can then disambiguate to up to three other articles, such as, for instance, the car model Volvo 740:

It automatically finds and includes both number (before any specified articles) and disambiguation (after any specified articles) pages matching the number, if they exist:
