ਮਾਰੀਸਾ ਅਬੇਲਾ
ਮਾਰੀਸਾ ਗੈਬਰੀਏਲ ਅਬੇਲਾ (ਅੰਗ੍ਰੇਜ਼ੀ: Marisa Gabrielle Abela; ਜਨਮ 7 ਦਸੰਬਰ 1996) ਇੱਕ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਅਭਿਨੇਤਰੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਬੀਬੀਸੀ ਟੂ ਅਤੇ ਐਚਬੀਓ ਸੀਰੀਜ਼ ਇੰਡਸਟਰੀ (2020–) ਅਤੇ ਸਕਾਈ ਵਨ ਸੀਰੀਜ਼ ਕੋਬਰਾ (2020) ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਭੂਮਿਕਾਵਾਂ ਲਈ ਜਾਣੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹ 2024 ਦੀ ਬਾਇਓਪਿਕ ਬੈਕ ਟੂ ਬਲੈਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਐਮੀ ਵਾਈਨਹਾਊਸ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਏਗੀ।
ਅਬੇਲਾ ਨੂੰ ਕੱਲ੍ਹ ਦਾ 2023 ਸਕ੍ਰੀਨ ਇੰਟਰਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਸਟਾਰ ਨਾਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।[1]

ਅਬੇਲਾ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਬ੍ਰਾਈਟਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਭਿਨੇਤਰੀ ਕੈਰੋਲੀਨ ਗਰੂਬਰ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਕ ਐਂਜੇਲੋ ਅਬੇਲਾ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਰੋਟਿੰਗਡੀਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਰਾ ਜੈਕ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਡੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ।[2] ਉਸਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਮਾਲਟੀਜ਼-ਲੀਬੀਅਨ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਮੂਲ ਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਮਾਂ ਪੋਲਿਸ਼ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਰੂਸੀ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਵੰਸ਼ ਦੀ ਹੈ।[3][4] ਉਸਨੇ ਰੋਡੀਅਨ ਸਕੂਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੜ੍ਹਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਥੀਏਟਰ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਟਕ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਲਾਸਾਂ ਲਈਆਂ।[5][6] ਉਸਨੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਯੂਸੀਐਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਦਾ ਅਧਿਐਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਵਕੀਲ ਬਣਨ ਦਾ ਇਰਾਦਾ ਰੱਖਿਆ, ਪਰ ਆਖਰੀ ਮਿੰਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਮਨ ਬਦਲ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਦੀ ਬਜਾਏ ਅਦਾਕਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ।[7][8] ਉਸਨੇ 2019 ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਇਲ ਅਕੈਡਮੀ ਆਫ਼ ਡਰਾਮੈਟਿਕ ਆਰਟ (RADA) ਤੋਂ ਗ੍ਰੈਜੂਏਟ ਕੀਤਾ।[9][10]

ਅਬੇਲਾ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਵਾਰ 11 ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਥ੍ਰਿਲਰ ਮੈਨ ਇਨ ਏ ਬਾਕਸ (2008) ਵਿੱਚ ਐਲਿਸ ਦੇ ਕਿਰਦਾਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
RADA ਤੋਂ ਗ੍ਰੈਜੂਏਟ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਅਬੇਲਾ ਨੇ 2020 ਵਿੱਚ ਸਕਾਈ ਵਨ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿਕ ਥ੍ਰਿਲਰ ਕੋਬਰਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਐਲੀ ਸਦਰਲੈਂਡ ਅਤੇ ਬੀਬੀਸੀ ਟੂ ਅਤੇ ਐਚਬੀਓ ਆਫਿਸ ਡਰਾਮਾ ਉਦਯੋਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਾਸਮੀਨ ਕਾਰਾ-ਹਨਾਨੀ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁੱਖ ਭੂਮਿਕਾਵਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੀ ਟੈਲੀਵਿਜ਼ਨ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਕੀਤੀ।[11] ਉਹ 2022 ਦੀਆਂ ਫਿਲਮਾਂ ਸ਼ੀ ਇਜ਼ ਲਵ ਅਤੇ ਰੋਗ ਏਜੰਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਆਈ।[12]
ਜੁਲਾਈ 2022 ਵਿੱਚ, ਅਬੇਲਾ ਗ੍ਰੇਟਾ ਗਰਵਿਗ ਦੀ ਬਾਰਬੀ (2023) ਦੀ ਕਾਸਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਈ।[13] ਉਸਨੇ ਅਗਲੀ ਵਾਰ ਸੈਮ ਟੇਲਰ-ਜਾਨਸਨ ਦੀ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਫਿਲਮ ਬੈਕ ਟੂ ਬਲੈਕ (2024) ਵਿੱਚ ਐਮੀ ਵਾਈਨਹਾਊਸ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਈ, ਜੋ ਮਰਹੂਮ ਗਾਇਕ ਬਾਰੇ ਇੱਕ ਬਾਇਓਪਿਕ ਸੀ।[14][15]
