ਏਲੀਨੋਰ ਓਸਟਰੋਮ 'ਦਾ ਜਨਮ 7 ਅਗਸਤ 1933 ਨੂੰ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਇੱਕ ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਅਰਥਸ਼ਾਸਰੀ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਔਲਿਵਰ ਵਿਲਿਯਮਸਨ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਯੁੱਕਤ ਰੂਪ ਤੋਂ 2009 ਵਿੱਚ ਅਰਥਸ਼ਾਸਤਰ ਦੇ ਨੋਬਲ ਸਮਰਿਤਿ ਪੁਰਸਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਵਿਜੇਤਾ ਸੀ। ਅਰਥਸ਼ਾਸਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਪੁਰਸਕਾਰ ਜਿੱਤਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਏਲੀਨੋਰ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਸੀ।
