ਕਾਬਾ ( Persian: qabā ) ਸਲੀਵਜ਼ ਅਤੇ ਬਟਨਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਇੱਕ ਲੰਬਾ ਕੋਟ ਹੈ, ਇੱਕ ਕੈਸੋਕ ਵਰਗਾ, ਅੱਗੇ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹਾ ਹੈ। ਇੱਕ ਕਾਬਾ ਇੱਕ ਵਡੇਡ ਕੋਟ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸਨੂੰ ਤੁਰਕੀ ਮੂਲ ਦੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਟੁਕੜਾ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।[2]

12ਵੀਂ ਸਦੀ ਦੇ ਅਖੀਰ ਵਿੱਚ-13ਵੀਂ ਸਦੀ ਈਸਵੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਕਸ਼ਾਨ, ਤੀਰਾਜ਼ ਬਾਂਹਵਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਕਾਬਾ ਪਹਿਰਾਵਾ ਪਹਿਨਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸਿੰਘਾਸਣ।[1]

ਮੁਗਲ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਗਿੱਟੇ-ਲੰਬਾਈ ਵਾਲੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਪਹਿਨਦੇ ਸਨ। ਬਾਬਰ ਅਤੇ ਹੁਮਾਯੂੰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਪਹਿਰਾਵੇ ਘੱਟ ਜਾਂ ਘੱਟ ਇੱਕੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਸਨ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਕਾਬਾ, ਜਾਮਾ, ਪੀਰਾਹਾਨ, ਜਿਲੁਚਾ, ਜੀਬਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਸਬਾ। ਜਾਮਾ ਦੇ ਉਲਟ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਚਾਰ-ਪੁਆਇੰਟ ਵਾਲਾ ਲੰਬਾ ਕੋਟ ਸੀ, ਕਾਬਾ ਅਤੇ ਟਕਾਉਚੀਆ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਇੱਕ ਚੌੜੇ ਘੇਰੇ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਨ। ਬਾਬਰਨਾਮੇ ਵਿਚ ਕਾਬਾ ਦਾ ਜ਼ਿਕਰ ਹੈ। ਵਰਤਮਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ, ਕਾਬਾ ਇਸਲਾਮੀ ਮੌਲਵੀਆਂ ਜਾਂ ਮਸਜਿਦ ਦੇ ਨੇਤਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਰਾਵੇ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਅੰਗ ਹੈ।[3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10]
