ਰਸ਼ਮੀ ਚੱਕਰਵਰਤੀ (ਜਨਮ 9 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ 1977) ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਪੇਸ਼ੇਵਰ ਟੈਨਿਸ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਹੈ।[1] ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਰਿਕਾਰਡ 52 ITF ਖਿਤਾਬ ਜਿੱਤੇ ਜੋ ਕਿਸੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਖਿਡਾਰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਥਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਨੰਬਰ ਹਨ। ਸਤੰਬਰ 2005 ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਲਕਾਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ, WTA ਟੂਰ ਟੂਰਨਾਮੈਂਟ ਸਨਫੀਸਟ ਓਪਨ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਦੌਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੇਡਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਉਹ ਪੇਸ਼ੇਵਰ ਬਣ ਗਈ।

ਉਹ ਮੁੱਖ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ITF ਸਰਕਟ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਸੀ। ਆਪਣੇ ਕਰੀਅਰ ਵਿੱਚ, ਚੱਕਰਵਰਤੀ ਨੇ 2005 ਅਤੇ 2006 ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨਫੀਸਟ ਓਪਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੋ ਮੌਕਿਆਂ 'ਤੇ ਡਬਲਯੂਟੀਏ ਟੂਰ 'ਤੇ ਖੇਡੀ, ਦੋਵੇਂ ਵਾਰ ਇੱਕ ਰਾਊਂਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਾਰ ਗਈ।

2003 ਦੀਆਂ ਅਫਰੋ-ਏਸ਼ੀਅਨ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਾਰ ਤਗਮੇ (ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੋ ਸੋਨ ਤਗਮੇ ਸਨ) ਜਿੱਤਣਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕਰੀਅਰ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਕਾਰਨ ਸੀ। ਰਸ਼ਮੀ 2002, 2006 ਅਤੇ 2010 ਵਿੱਚ ਏਸ਼ੀਆਈ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦਗੀ ਕਰ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ।

ਚੱਕਰਵਰਤੀ ਮਲੇਸ਼ੀਆ ਓਪਨ ਦੇ ਕੁਆਲੀਫਾਇੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਾਰ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਭਾਰਤ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਡਬਲਯੂਟੀਏ ਟੂਰਨਾਮੈਂਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਇੱਕੋ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਸੀ।

ਉਸ ਨੇ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ 2010 ਦੀਆਂ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਮੰਡਲ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਕੇਟੀ ਓ'ਬ੍ਰਾਇਨ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾ ਕੇ ਕੁਆਰਟਰ ਫਾਈਨਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ[2] ਅਤੇ ਸਾਨੀਆ ਮਿਰਜ਼ਾ ਨਾਲ ਡਬਲਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਂਸੀ ਦਾ ਤਗਮਾ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ।[3]

ਚੱਕਰਵਰਤੀ ਨੇ ਹਮਵਤਨ ਪੂਜਾਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਵੈਂਕਟੇਸ਼ਾ ਨਾਲ ਮੁਜ਼ੱਫਰਨਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਈਟੀਐਫ ਈਵੈਂਟ ਜਿੱਤਣ ਲਈ ਸਾਂਝੇਦਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ।

ਚੱਕਰਵਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ 2012 ਲੰਡਨ ਓਲੰਪਿਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਨੀਆ ਮਿਰਜ਼ਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਡਬਲਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੇਡਣ ਲਈ ਵਾਈਲਡ ਕਾਰਡ ਐਂਟਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ।[4] ਇਸ ਜੋੜੀ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਊਂਡ ਇੱਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਾਇਵਾਨ ਦੀ ਹਸੀਹ ਸੂ-ਵੇਈ ਅਤੇ ਚੁਆਂਗ ਚਿਆ-ਜੰਗ ਦੀ ਜੋੜੀ ਨੇ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਥ੍ਰੀ-ਸੈਟਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਰਾਇਆ।[5]
