ਅਬੂ ʿਅਲੀ ਅਲ-ਹਸਨ ਇਬਨ ਅਲ-ਹਸਨ ਇਬਨ ਅਲ-ਹੇਸਮ (Arabic: أبو علي، الحسن بن الحسن بن الهيثم), ਜਿਹਨੂੰ ਆਮ ਤੌਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਇਬਨ ਅਲ-ਹੀਸ਼ਮ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਅਰਬੀ: ابن الهيثم; ਲਗ. 965– ਲਗ. 1040), ਇੱਕ ਅਰਬ[8] ਵਿਗਿਆਨੀ, ਬਹੁ-ਜਾਣਕਾਰ, ਹਿਸਾਬਦਾਨ, ਤਾਰਾ ਵਿਗਿਆਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ਲਸਫ਼ਾਦਾਨ ਸੀ ਜਿਹਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ, ਤਾਰਾ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ, ਹਿਸਾਬ, ਮੌਸਮ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ,[9] ਪ੍ਰਤੱਖ ਗਿਆਨ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਤਰੀਕਾ ਦੇ ਸਿਧਾਂਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਹਿਮ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ।.
