ਨੰਦਿਨੀ ਸਾਹੂ (ਜਨਮ 23 ਜੁਲਾਈ 1973) ਇੱਕ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਕਵੀ, ਲੇਖਕ ਅਤੇ ਆਲੋਚਕ ਹੈ।[1][2][3][4] ਉਹ ਇੰਦਰਾ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਓਪਨ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ, ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ ਵੀ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਸਮੇਤ ਕਈ ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਲਿਖੀਆਂ ਹਨ।[5][6] ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਵਿਤਰੀ ਹੈ।[7] ਉਸ ਦੀ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਭਾਰਤ, ਅਮਰੀਕਾ, ਬ੍ਰਿਟੇਨ, ਅਫਰੀਕਾ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਰਿਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।[8] ਉਸ ਨੇ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੋ ਸੋਨੇ ਦੇ ਤਗਮੇ ਜਿੱਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਲ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਦਾ ਪੁਰਸਕਾਰ

ਮੁੱਢਲਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਸੋਧੋ

ਸਾਹੂ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ 23 ਜੁਲਾਈ 1973 ਨੂੰ ਉੜੀਸਾ, ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੀ ਉਦੈਗਿਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਾਪੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਪੰਜ ਭੈਣਾਂ ਆਗਿਆਕਾਰੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਲੀਆਂ।[8] ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ: ਨਿਰੰਜਨ ਮੋਹੰਤੀ ਦੀ ਰਹਿਨੁਮਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਉੱਤੇ ਪੀ.ਐਚ.ਡੀ. ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਹ ਨੇਟਿਵ ਅਮਰੀਕਨ ਸਾਹਿਤ 'ਤੇ ਡੀ . ਲਿਟ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।[10] ਉਹ ਇੰਦਰਾ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਓਪਨ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਦੀ ਸਹਿਯੋਗੀ ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਸੇਵਾ ਨਿਭਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।[12] ਉਹ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਸੈਮੀਨਾਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।[13]

ਸਾਹੂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਲਿਖਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਛੋਟੀ ਉਮਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਾਵਿ ਸੰਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਸਮੇਤ ਕਈ ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਲਿਖੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਲਿਖਤਾਂ ਭਾਰਤੀ-ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਸਾਹਿਤ, ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਸਾਹਿਤ, ਇੰਗਲਿਸ਼ ਲੈਂਗਵੇਜ ਟੀਚਿੰਗ (ਈਐਲਟੀ), ਲੋਕਧਾਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਅਧਿਐਨ ਅਤੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਦੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ 'ਤੇ ਅਧਾਰਤ ਹਨ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਗਨੂ ਲਈ ਲੋਕ-ਕਥਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਸਕ੍ਰਿਤੀ ਅਧਿਐਨਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ।[10] ਉਹ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ, ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਦੇ ਅੰਤਰ - ਅਨੁਸ਼ਾਸਨੀ ਜਰਨਲ ਦੀ ਮੁੱਖ ਸੰਪਾਦਕ ਵੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ, ਸਾਹੂ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਖ ਵੱਖ ਵਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ 'ਤੇ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ।[8]
