ਸਲਾਹ ਉਦ-ਦੀਨ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਇਬਨ ਆਯੁਬ (ਕੁਰਦਿਸ਼: سەلاحەدینی ئەییووبی/Selahedînê Eyûbî; Arabic: صلاح الدين يوسف بن أيوب) (1137/1138 – 4 ਮਾਰਚ 1193), ਪੱਛਮੀ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਲਾਦੀਨ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,ਮਿਸਰ ਅਤੇ ਸੀਰਿਆ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸੁਲਤਾਨ ਸੀ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਅਯੁਬਿਦ ਰਾਜਵੰਸ਼ ਦੀ ਸਥਾਪਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਕੁਰਦਿਸ਼ ਦੇ ਮੁਸਲਿਮ ਦੀ ਮੂਲ ਉਤਪਤੀ[4][5][6] ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਨੇ ਯੂਰਪੀ ਸਲੀਬੀ ਜੰਗਾਂ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਾਮ (ਇਲਾਕਾ) ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁਸਲਿਮ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਨਿਧਤਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਸਰ,ਸੀਰਿਆ,ਮੈਸੋਪੋਟਾਮੀਆ,ਹਿਜਾਜ਼,ਯਮਨ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਤਰੀ ਅਫਰੀਕਾ ਦੇ ਕੁੱਝ ਹਿੱਸਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਲਤਨਤ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਬਣਾਇਆ।

ਸਲਾਦੀਨ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੂਰ ਉਦ-ਦੀਨ, ਜੋ ਜ਼ੇਨਗਿਦ ਰਾਜਵੰਸ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਸੀ, ਨੇ ਇਸਨੂੰ 1163 ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਸਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਲਤਨਤ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਭੇਜਿਆ। ਇਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਚੰਗੀ ਸੇਨਾ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਲੀਬੀ ਜੰਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿੱਤ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਅਲ-ਅਦੀਦ,ਜੋ ਅੰਤਿਮ ਖਲੀਫ਼ਾ ਸੀ, ਨਾਲ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਸਬੰਧ ਹੋਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਲਾਦੀਨ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇ ਫਾਤੀਮਿਦ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਉੱਚਾ ਰੁਤਬਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਜਦੋਂ 1169 ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸਦੇ ਚਾਚਾ ਸ਼ਿਰਕੋਹ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਅਲ-ਅਦੀਦ ਨੇ ਇਸਨੂੰ ਵਜ਼ੀਰ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਧੀ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫਤ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੀਆ ਇਸਲਾਮ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂਸੱਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਘੱਟ ਸੁੰਨੀ ਮੁਸਲਿਮ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਉਪਾਧੀ ਲਈ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਵਜ਼ੀਰ ਬਣਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਇਸਨੇ ਫਾਤੀਮਿਦ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਪਤ ਤੌਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਕਰਨਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ 1171 ਵਿੱਚ ਅਲ-ਅਦੀਦ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਇਸਨੇ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਕੰਮ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕੇ ਮੂੜ ਬਗਦਾਦ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਧੀ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਇਸਨੇ ਫ਼ਲਸਤੀਨੀ ਇਲਾਕੇ,ਯਮਨ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਸਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਜਿੱਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ।

ਨੂਰ ਉਦ-ਦੀਨ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ (1174) ਤੋਂ ਕੁੱਝ ਸਮੇਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਹੀ ਇਸਨੇ ਦਮਸ਼ਕ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਾਸ਼ਕ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀਪੂਰਵਕ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਉੱਪਰ ਸੀਰਿਆ ਦੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ।
