Greetings! CIS-A2K has started the Mula Mutha Nadi Darshan 2022 campaign cum photography contest on Wikimedia Commons from 15 May to 30 June. The aim of the contest is to document the Mula & Mutha rivers along with their tributaries in the Pune district on Wikimedia Commons in the form of images and videos. You can see more specific topics in the Rivers and Topics section. In this campaign, partner organisations like, Jeevitnadi, Ecological Society, Samuchit Enviro Tech, Nisarg Sevak, National Society for Clean Cities etc. are actively participating.

Dear Wikimedians,

We are excited to announce the launch of the A2K Monthly Engagement Call, a series of interactive sessions aimed at fostering collaborative learning within the Wikimedia community. The motive behind starting the series of interactive sessions is to bring the community together to discuss and interact about important topics. The first Monthly Engagement call will start with Let’s Connect which is an initiative to create an open and safe learning space for all Wikimedians to share and learn different skills with other peers and to add value and contribute collectively to the community. The first call in this series, organized and hosted by CIS-A2K, will take place on June 3, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM (IST).

One more announcement is about, on June 5, 2023, as we celebrate Environment Day, A2K is planning to engage communities and community members in discussions about potential activities for the month of June. These activities will involve capturing images of the environment, uploading them to Wikimedia Commons, and adding existing photos to articles on Wikipedia. We would love to invite Wikimedians to collaborate and join us in planning this activity on Sunday, May 28, 2023, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Hello again! In ਵਿਕੀਪੀਡੀਆ:ਸੱਥ/ਪੁਰਾਣੀ_ਚਰਚਾ_28#Mass_deletion_of_files_/_ਫਾਈਲਾਂ_ਨੂੰ_ਵੱਡੇ_ਪੱਧਰ_'ਤੇ_ਮਿਟਾਉਣਾ there was a discussion about deleting the ~1,000 files in Category:Non Licensed Images.

As a start admins could help with is to check/delete files in

  1. ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀ:All Wikipedia files with the same name on Wikimedia Commons
  2. ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀ:All Wikipedia files with a different name on Wikimedia Commons
  3. And all the other relevant categories in ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀ:ਛੇਤੀ ਮਿਟਾਉਣਯੋਗ ਸਫ਼ੇ
  4. ਖ਼ਾਸ:ਅਣਵਰਤੀਆਂ_ਫ਼ਾਈਲਾਂ (if they have a valid free license perhaps move to Commons instead)

Also as mentioned pa.wiki is not listed on m:Non-free content and it has no page that matches en:Wikipedia:Non-free content. However, there is ਵਿਕੀਪੀਡੀਆ:Non-free use rationale guideline. There should be a formal policy and Exemption Doctrine Policy (EDP) to comply with wmf:Resolution:Licensing_policy so perhaps someone (ਵਰਤੋਂਕਾਰ:Satdeep Gill or ਵਰਤੋਂਕਾਰ:Jagseer S Sidhu perhaps?) could make a formal policy and add it to meta? As a start perhaps either write a short text like

"Punjabi Wikipedia allow Non-free content under the same rules as on English Wikipedia. Therefore en:Wikipedia:Non-free content is to be followed untill a local policy have been translated/created."

We are glad to announce the new members and advisors of the Elections Committee. The Elections Committee assists with the design and implementation of the process to select Community- and Affiliate-Selected trustees for the Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees. After an open nomination process, the strongest candidates spoke with the Board and four candidates were asked to join the Elections Committee. Four other candidates were asked to participate as advisors.

The WMF Language team has added another machine translation (MT) system for Content Translation in your Wikipedia called MinT; you can use MinT machine translation when translating Wikipedia articles using the Content and Section Translation tool.

The WMF Language team provides the MinT service. It is hosted in the Wikimedia Foundation Infrastructure with neural machine translation models that other organizations have released with an open-source license. MinT integrates translation based on NLLB-200, OpusMT and IndicTrans2 which is the model MinT is using in your Wikipedia. This MT is set as optional in your Wikipedia. Still, you can choose not to use it by selecting "Start with empty paragraph" from the "Initial Translation" dropdown menu.

Since MinT is hosted in the WMF Infrastructure and the models are open source, it adheres to Wikipedia's policies about attribution of rights, your privacy as a user and brand representation. You can find more information about the MinT Machine translation and the models on this page.

Please note that the use of the MinT MT is not compulsory. However, we would want your community to:

  • use it to improve the quality of the Machine Translation service
  • provide feedback about the service and its quality, and the service you prefer as default for your Wikipedia.

Deploying the Phonos in-line audio player to your Wiki ਸੋਧੋ

This wiki will soon be able to use the inline audio player implemented by the Phonos extension. This is part of fulfilling a wishlist proposal of providing audio links that play on click.

With the inline audio player, you can add text-to-speech audio snippets to wiki pages by simply using a tag:

The above tag will show the text next to a speaker icon, and clicking on it will play the audio instantly without taking you to another page. A common example where you can use this feature is in adding pronunciation to words as illustrated on the English Wiktionary below.

Announcement of Train the Trainer 2023 and Call for Scholarship ਸੋਧੋ

We are excited to announce the reactivation of the Train the Trainer (TTT) initiative by CIS-A2K in 2023. TTT aims to empower Indian Wikimedians like you with essential skills to support Wikimedia communities effectively. Through this program, we seek to enhance your capacity, encourage knowledge sharing, identify growth opportunities, and enable a positive impact on the communities you serve. The scholarship application period is from ‘‘‘1st to 14th August 2023’’’. Unfortunately, we regretfully cannot consider applications from non-Indian Wikimedians due to logistical and compliance-related constraints. The event is scheduled for the end of September or the beginning of October 2023, and final dates and venue details will be announced soon. We encourage your active participation in TTT 2023 and welcome you to apply for scholarships via the provided form.

ਵਿਕੀਮੀਡੀਆ ਸਮਿਟ 2024 ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਕੀਮੀਡੀਅਨਜ਼ ਯੂਜ਼ਰ ਗਰੁੱਪ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸ਼ਮੂਲੀਅਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਨਿਧੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਹੈ। ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਨਿਧੀ ਬਰਲਿਨ, ਜਰਮਨੀ ਲਈ ਤੇ ਦੋ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਨਿਧੀ ਆਨਲਾਈਨ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਚੁਣਨੇ ਹਨ। 14 ਅਗਸਤ ਤੱਕ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਹ ਤਿੰਨ ਨਾਂ ਤੈਅ ਕਰਨੇ ਹਨ। ਹਰ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਹੇਠ ਚਾਰ ਨੁਕਤਿਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ:

  2. ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਲਈ ਆਫਲਾਈਨ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ (ਈਵੈਂਟ, ਮੀਟਿੰਗ, ਹੋਰ ਵਰਤੋਂਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਤੇ ਯੂਜ਼ਰ ਗਰੁੱਪ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ)
  3. ਮੂਵਮੈਂਟ ਸਟ੍ਰੈਟੇਜੀ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ (ਵਿਕੀਮੀਡੀਆ ਸਮਿਟ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਨਸ਼ਾ ਮੂਵਮੈਂਟ ਸਟ੍ਰੈਟੇਜੀ ਹੈ) ਵਧੇਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਲਈ ਮੈਟਾ ਦੇਖੋ। ਇਸ ਸਫ਼ੇ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਯੂਜ਼ਰ ਗਰੁੱਪਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਲਾਹ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦੇ ਚੁਣਨ ਲੱਗੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਿਕੀਮੀਡੀਆ ਲਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਨ (Movement Governance) ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਧਿਆਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖੇ ਜਾਣ ਦੀ ਸਲਾਹ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।

  4. ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਮਹੀਨਾਵਾਰ ਬੈਠਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਬੀਤੇ ਡੇਢ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਰੰਤਰ ਆਨਲਾਇਨ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨੋਟਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਟਾ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝਾ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ। 2023 ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਵਿਡ ਮਿਆਦ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਵਾਰ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਦੀ ਆਫਲਾਇਨ ਬੈਠਕ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਸਾਂ।
  5. ਵਿਕੀਮੀਡੀਆ ਕਾਮਨਜ਼ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਕੀਸੋਰਸ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੰਧਿਤ ਮੈਂ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਾਜੈਕਟ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਡੀਨੇਟਰ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਪੁਰਾਤਨ ਖਰੜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਕੈਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਫੇਸ 2022 ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਦੂਜਾ ਫੇਸ ਚੱਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਫੇਸ 1 ਲਿੰਕ, ਫੇਸ 2 ਲਿੰਕ।
  6. ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਦੀ 21ਵੀਂ ਵਰ੍ਹੇਗੰਢ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਕੀਪੀਡੀਆ ਦੇ ਪੰਜਾਹ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਲੇਖ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਤੰਬਰ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਕਾਨਫਰੰਸ ਕਰਵਾਈ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਂ ਕਾਰਡੀਨੇਟਰ ਅਤੇ ਸੈਕਿੰਡ ਗਰਾਂਟੀ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਾਂ। ਕਾਨਫਰੰਸ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਪੋਜ਼ਲ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਲੋੜੀਂਦੀ ਯੂਥ ਤੇ ਚਾਈਲਡ ਪਾਲਸੀ ਦਾ ਡਾਕੂਮੈਂਟ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝਾ ਵੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸਕਾਲਰਸ਼ਿਪ ਫਾਰਮ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਹੋਰ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਤੇ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਲਿਖਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਮੈਂ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਵਾਅਦਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਲਿੰਕ।

ਸਤਸ੍ਰੀਅਕਾਲ ਜੀ, Wikimedia Summit ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਮਜ਼ਦ ਕਰਦੀ ਹਾਂ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਕੱਢ ਕੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੀ ਹਾਂ, ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹਾਂ।

ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਗੱਲ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਨਲਾਇਨ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰਾਂਗੀ। ਮਾਰਚ 2017 ਤੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਹਰ ਦਿਨ ਇੱਕ ਆਰਟੀਕਲ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਜਾਂ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਸ ਤਹਿਤ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਕੀਪੀਡੀਆ ‘ਤੇ ਔਰਤ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਸਮੱਗਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਟੀਚਾ ਹੈ। ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਬਣਾਈ ਰੱਖਣ ਲਈ, ਮੈਂ ਲੌਕ-ਡਾਉਨ ਵੇਲਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਆਨਲਾਇਨ ਮੀਟਿੰਗਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਿਲਸਿਲਾ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਰਡੀਨੇਟ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸਾਥੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਇੱਕ in-person meeting ਵੀ ਗੌਰਵ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਲੋਂ ਉਲੀਕੀ ਗਈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਮੈਂ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਕੀਮੀਡੀਅਨਜ਼ ਦੀ ਕਾਨਫਰੰਸ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਸੁਝਾਅ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਪੋਜਲ ਤੇ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਗੌਰਵ ਤੇ ਹਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਲੈਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਹੁਣ ਇਹ ਫੰਡ ਵੀ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤੰਬਰ ਜਾਂ ਅਕਤੂਬਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਣ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। m:Wiki Loves Literature, ਗੌਰਵ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਲੋਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਇੱਕ ਉਪਰਾਲਾ ਜੋ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਸਾਲ ਕੁਝ ਹੋਰ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਭਾਈਚਾਰਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਵਿਕੀਮੇਨੀਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ 10 ਮਿੰਟ ਦੀ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਭਾਈਚਾਰਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝੇਦਾਰੀ ਕਰਕੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਵਲੋਂ ਗਲੋਬਲ ਪੱਧਰ ‘ਤੇ ਇਸ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਨੂੰ ਚਲਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਦੀ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਨੂੰ ਸਬਮਿੱਟ ਸਮੇਂ ‘ਤੇ update ਕਰਨ ਵਲੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਘੋਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ।

  • Wikimedia Summit ਲਈ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਵਲੋਂ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦਾ ਭੇਜਣ ਦੇ ਅਮਲ ਨਾਲ਼ ਮੈਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹਾਂ। ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦੇ ਭੇਜੇ ਉਹ ਪਰਤ ਕੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਕੰਮ ਜਾਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੱਖ ਸਕੇ। ਹਰ ਵਾਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਵਾਂ ਵਰਤੋਂਕਾਰ ਭੇਜਣ ਨਾਲ਼ ਕੋਈ ਫ਼ਾਇਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਇਆ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੇਰੇ ਖ਼ਿਆਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦੇ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਲਈ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਸਿਰੜ ਨਾਲ਼ ਨਿਰੰਤਰ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਤਹਿਰੀਕ ਦੇ ਹਿੱਤ ਉੱਪਰ ਰੱਖਣ ਵਾਲ਼ੇ ਵਰਤੋਂਕਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਲ ਦੇਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜਿਥੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਮੇਰਾ ਵਾਹ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅਧਾਰ 'ਤੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਗੌਰਵ ਜਾਂ ਨਿਤੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਦੋਨੋਂ ਵਰਤੋਂਕਾਰ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਨਾਲ਼ ਮਿਲ਼ ਕੇ ਟੀਮ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਉਸਦਾ ਵੀ ਬੜਾ ਮਹੱਤਵ ਹੈ।--Charan Gill (ਗੱਲ-ਬਾਤ) 03:13, 13 ਅਗਸਤ 2023 (UTC)Reply[ਜਵਾਬ]

I am pleased to share the next step in the Universal Code of Conduct work. The Universal Code of Conduct Coordinating Committee (U4C) draft charter is now ready for your review.

The Enforcement Guidelines require a Building Committee form to draft a charter that outlines procedures and details for a global committee to be called the Universal Code of Conduct Coordinating Committee (U4C). Over the past few months, the U4C Building Committee worked together as a group to discuss and draft the U4C charter. The U4C Building Committee welcomes feedback about the draft charter now through 22 September 2023. After that date, the U4C Building Committee will revise the charter as needed and a community vote will open shortly afterward.

The Wikimedia Foundation will switch the traffic between its data centers. This will make sure that Wikipedia and the other Wikimedia wikis can stay online even after a disaster. To make sure everything is working, the Wikimedia Technology department needs to do a planned test. This test will show if they can reliably switch from one data centre to the other. It requires many teams to prepare for the test and to be available to fix any unexpected problems.

All traffic will switch on 20 September. The test will start at 14:00 UTC.

Unfortunately, because of some limitations in MediaWiki, all editing must stop while the switch is made. We apologize for this disruption, and we are working to minimize it in the future.

You will be able to read, but not edit, all wikis for a short period of time.

  • You will not be able to edit for up to an hour on Wednesday 20 September 2023.
  • If you try to edit or save during these times, you will see an error message. We hope that no edits will be lost during these minutes, but we can't guarantee it. If you see the error message, then please wait until everything is back to normal. Then you should be able to save your edit. But, we recommend that you make a copy of your changes first, just in case.

Other effects:

  • Background jobs will be slower and some may be dropped. Red links might not be updated as quickly as normal. If you create an article that is already linked somewhere else, the link will stay red longer than usual. Some long-running scripts will have to be stopped.
  • We expect the code deployments to happen as any other week. However, some case-by-case code freezes could punctually happen if the operation require them afterwards.
  • GitLab will be unavailable for about 90 minutes.
This project may be postponed if necessary. You can read the schedule at wikitech.wikimedia.org. Any changes will be announced in the schedule. There will be more notifications about this. A banner will be displayed on all wikis 30 minutes before this operation happens. Please share this information with your community.

ਸਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਜੀ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ। ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਲੇਖ ਸੁਧਾਰ ਐਡਿਟਾਥਾਨ 2023 ਚਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ 11 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਆਨਲਾਈਨ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਵਿਚ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਇਹ ਐਡਿਟਾਥਾਨ ਕਿਉਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਫਿਰ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਿਯਮ ਦੱਸੇ ਗਏ ਸਾਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਰਟੀਕਲ ਬਣਾਏ। ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਕਿ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਆਰਟੀਕਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਧਾਰ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਦਾਹਰਣ ਵਜੋਂ ਉਸ ਆਰਟੀਕਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਰਲੇਖ/ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀਆਂ/ਹਵਾਲੇ/ਇਨਫੋਬੌਕਸ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ। ਹੋਰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਆਰਟੀਕਲ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਦੇਖੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ (TOP VIEWS) ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੋੜਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ । ਜਿਹੜੇ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਕੀਪੀਡੀਆ ਉਤੇ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਦੇਖੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਅਤੇ ਇਕ ਟੂਲ ਬਾਰੇ ਵੀ ਦੱਸਿਆ। ਜਿਹੜੇ ਆਰਟੀਕਲ ਛੋਟੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਲੇਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀ ਕੀ ਜੋੜਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ।

A new feature is coming to your wiki soon: Reference Previews are popups for references. Such popups have existed on wikis as local gadgets for many years. Now there is a central solution, available on all wikis, and consistent with the PagePreviews feature.

Reference Previews will be visible to everyone, including readers. If you don’t want to see them, you can opt out. If you are using the gadgets Reference Tooltips or Navigation Popups, you won’t see Reference Previews unless you disable the gadget.

Reference Previews have been a beta feature on many wikis since 2019, and a default feature on some since 2021. Deployment is planned for November 22.
